Sri Mulyani:World Bank Indonesia Includes Owner
When meeting with President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono at the Presidential Office, Jakarta, Sri Mulyani admitted to not only exchange ideas about the experiences and challenges faced by Indonesia in implementing development, but also focus on how Indonesia can share experience with other countries.
"This is called a changing relationship with nature. Currently, Indonesia acted more as a shareholder or owner of the World Bank who co-use development experience to shape policy or policies of the world and contribute to the sustainable development in the world," said Sri Mulyani to the reporters.
According to Sri Mulyani, who is also a former Minister of Finance, in addition to busy coping with problems and development challenges, Indonesia can provide input and constructive role in regional and global levels. Countries in the world love to learn the experience of countries that are considered through the development process.
"Sometimes, what Indonesia faced similar and relevant to their situation," she said.
