The African Development Bank Open Office in Angola

The African Development Bank (AfDB) has decided to open an office in Angola to speed up the loan approval and to "improve dialogue".

"In addition to improving the dialogue between the AfDB and its member states, the new bureau's mission is to accelerate the process of decision-making on approval of credit," said a statement from the group said.

Opening an office in the southern African country's banks will provide technical assistance and help decentralization of activities AfDB, who moved to Tunisia in 2003, with headquarters in Abidjan left rebellion in Côte d'Ivoire since 2002.

Bank has 25 offices spread across the continent and the AfDB group also includes the African Development Fund (AfDF) and the Special Fund for Nigeria, Africa's most populous nation.

AfDB shareholders include 53 African countries and 24 non-regional members, including the European Union countries, Brazil, Canada, China, India, Japan, Saudi Arabia, and the United States.
